The REVOLUTION 4200's integrated ARRAYSIFTER EXPRESS is an intuitive, easy-to-use package that supports image acquisition, handling, analysis and export into other standard packages of preference. Users have the flexibility to choose to perform basic analysis and data formatting within ARRAYSIFTER EXPRESS or alternatively export into other standard software packages to carry out downstream statistical analysis. Raw images are generated and saved as either a single or multi .tif for data storage and retrieval. ARRAYSIFTER EXPRESS also supports a variety of other file formats including .grd, .xls, .txt, .html and GenePix
.gpr and .gal files.
Microarray Workflow-Oriented Interface
ARRAYSIFTER EXPRESS has been intuitively designed to follow the microarray processes when acquiring chip images. Users are guided into the 4 general steps of (1) establishing scanning parameters such as resolution, scan area, channel selection and other settings; (2) image saving and storage; (3) gridding; and (4) data analysis, formatting and export. Users can also easily return to any of the 4 main areas with a simple mouse click onto an icon that makes navigation easy.
Image Visualization and Gridding Tools
ARRAYSIFTER EXPRESS comes with a variety of standard and custom data visualization and gridding tools. The software allows for scan preview, one-click zoom in/out or drag zoom, pixel color palette selection with preloaded rainbow palettes, auto and manual gridding, and grid optimization to maximize data visualization and quality. In addition, the software contains additional windows that show zoomed in spot features as well as referencing where one is within the entire array area at any given point in image visualization.
Data Analysis and Report Formatting
Data analysis is performed using standard segmentation and quantitation methods and then formatted into common tabular formats such as .txt or .xls. Users can also select or deselect a variety of standard data output column headers to customize the type of data output that best suits your needs. ARRAYSIFTER EXPRESS also has a summary .html formatted report that includes descriptive copy, tables and graphs that can be easily printed and placed into your lab notebook for documentation.
