Longtime Senior Executive Succeeds Trevor Fennell Who Led VIDAR's Market Dominance Of The Medical Film Digitizer Business
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (April 11, 2008) Herndon, VA — VIDAR Systems Corporation, the worldwide market leader in medical film digitizer technology, today named John E. Hart President & CEO.
“I am pleased to be handing over the reins of VIDAR to a successor with such extensive industry experience and the significant leadership skills which John has brought to the company,” said Trevor Fennell, retiring President & CEO. Hart joined VIDAR in April 2007 as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and was named Chief Operating Officer in November 2007. “I am confident that I leave the company in the hands of the person who will lead VIDAR into new growth markets and even greater prominence and success in the future,” said Fennell.
Prior to joining VIDAR, Hart was President & CEO of NiTi Medical Technologies, a late stage surgical products start up company, and held general and senior management positions at Stryker Orthopaedics and U.S. Surgical, a division of Tyco Healthcare (now Covidien) including Vice President & General Manager at both companies.
Since joining VIDAR, Hart has implemented positive strategic and cultural changes in the organization that have revitalized VIDAR’s employees, businesses and processes; and has been integral to VIDAR’s continuing success in bringing medical film digitizer products and software to market that are needed by customers as well as the marketplace.
